In this episode, your host, Doug Nix, interviews Johnny Jones. Johnny is a laser safety expert with decades of experience in laser research and development. At one time, Johnny served as the Laser Safety Officer at Los Alamos National Laboratories in New Mexico.
Lasers have become ubiquitous since their invention, bringing related safety hazards. Laser safety is covered by a few standards, including ANSI Z136.1, CSA E60825‑1 and IEC 60825–1. Laser safety training is available from a few sources. In this episode, Doug talks to Johnny Jones of Laser Professionals about this important topic.
